Members of Congress aren't deserving of the lavish salaries and pensions they receive even if they're NOT convicted of a felony. Why should they get ANYTHING if they're a convicted felon? But the laws they've made for the 'common' citizen don't apply to the royalty in our corruptive U.S. Congress. -RKO- 06/08/07

Only if the felony in question is related to or impacts his/her position in office.
Example: If he/she is convicted of taking bribes in exchange for votes, then the pension should be revoked.
If he/she is convicted of manslaughter in an auto accident, then no, it's not related to his/her position in government.

They shouldn't but they do, and isn't odd that Congress won't do anything about it? Reader Digest had an article about it a few months back made my blood pressure go up just reading it!

No, they should be stripped of that and any other benefits they would have received if they weren't corrupt. I think they should be thoroughly investigated to see what else they were involved with while they were using the taxpayer's money as their personal cash cow fund!!!!

Not a chance. Just because they work for the government doesn't make them any better than Paris Hilton.

Not if the crime involved was related to their position in congress and involved profit from abuse of power and position.
If it is unrelated, then yes.
