Uriah Heep shall have some concerts in Finland during summer 2007. I can recall them as a heavy/progressive band during late 60's. But what is their musical value today?

This just seems like a repeat of Iraq; a far-away country is suddenly promoted into a threat against the U.S. when it clearly isn't, people are whipped into a frenzy of fear, and some excuse is trumped up why they have to be invaded NOW. Even if Iran had nuclear weapons, which they don't, they have no reason to threaten the U.S., which is far superior militarily. Isn't launching pre-emptive attacks because somebody MIGHT be a threat someday illegal and immoral? And the isn't the real beneficiary of this really Israel, who are happy to let the U.S. spend it's gold and lives to keep them on top in the Mideast?

Is the question important? Tapes can be speeded up and slowed down. I don't see evidence of explosions on the lower floors.
I think there are a lot of unanswered questions about 9/11. If you look at controlled demolitons, it looks like explosives are place throughout the building, but the wtc buildings seem to collapse from the top down.

Why is so much publicity given to the cold war between Mr.Bachan and Mr.Shahrukh Khan? Why give so much importance to such trivial matters when there are more important issues pertaining to country and its socio-economic policy?A.B.has been a big star in his hey days but now hes doing roles which are most unsuitable for his age and also is always in lime light either through news because of his son's engagement, which again is given undue importance.Every where you look around and hes there may be in films, newsapapers or T.V.ads,too much publicity.S.R.K. is young, dynamic and has to face odious comparisons. We must keep one thing in mind that A.B.had solid backing because of his father and his political connections whereas S.R.K has achieved everything on his merits.Whole issue is just mass publicity.Just leave them alone and tackle important subjects on hand, shall we?

The Republican party has been hijacked by the Religious Right, bent on establishing a Christian theocracy in America. The majority of our citizens oppose a war, yet most will do nothing to actively try to stop it. We spend more taxpayers money on other nations than our own(think of Hurricane Katrina, our response to the Philippines landslide, etc).

Also, in the aftermath of Katrina, we had armed Blackwater mercenaries on the streets of New Orleans with automatic guns. The disproportion of wealth in this country is astonishing (1% of population holds 90% of the nation's wealth).

I fear our fate is tied with that of the Ancient Roman Republic, though we may not officially become an Empire, we may become an authoritarian establishment should we endure great instability and hardship(terrorist attack, etc). The Religious Right worries me the most, they have unprecedented power in America. It is easy to write them off without taking history into account. What is to stop them from ruining us?

And if so, how come? Is it to prevent hysteria (an understandable situation if so) but what I, we don't understand is why an unsuccessful attempt wouldn't be front page news if not only to promote the "good" and success behind the FBI, CIA, NSA, the Patriot Act and such. I am not one to believe in conspiracies but I find it hard to believe that there has not been another attempt on US soil after September 11. I am thankful for no such attacks and love my country but are we being kept in the dark? This was actually dinner conversation initiated by my 16 year old daughter after what she called a "heated debate" in her modern history class.

I was wondering why the U.N. Security Council has instructed the tribunal to finish its last trials by 2008 and conclude the appeals process within another two years, before closing down in 2010? Was it ineffective, because if it was working I don't see why it would be closing.

Temporary Ted, the interim landlord, has taken turkey sandwiches off the board because he says there's no demand now. I demanded one but he says regulars don't count, he's trying to attract new customers with his poster 'Our sandwiches DO NOT contain any traces of turkey.'
