I just read that a gunmal killed 6 people at a one-room Amish school in PA. A few days ago, a school principal in WI got shot, and a couples of weeks ago a girl got killed in CO. All this in less than six months.

This is so sad and scary. what can we do as a society to prevent things like this to continue to happen?

Ok, lately there have been a lot of school shootings within the past month:
*the guy that opened fire on that college cafeteria in Canada
*the shooting at the Colorado school
*that shooting at Duquesne at the basketball players
*the shooting of a principal last wk in Wisconsin
*TODAY* a shooting at an Amish school in PA
*TODAY* two Las Vegas schools were in lockdown as police tried to find teen gunman seen with a gun...

What the hell is going on?
Has anyone else noticed this?

If you read my past questions you will get the feel of what is going on.
1)I downloaded child pornography in 1996
2)I was arrested and served 48 months in federal prison
3)I was released after serving 85% for good behavior
4)I served 3 years supervised release
5)I am a REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER
6)I married in 2003
7)We had a BEAUTIFUL baby daughter in 2004
8)She is now 2 ½ years old
9)My wife is freaking psycho (tried to kill me with a knife) – filed in a police report that is public – there is NO disputing this
10)She threatened to leave me and take my daughter

My wife and I have been in a custody battle since my daughter (and I say MY DAUGHTER because my wife? Is… well, you will see) has been 1 year old. My lawyer told me to expect the worst. Well, TODAY – Monday, October 02, 2006 the judge ruled. The ruling is that I (the registered sex offender) have FULL custody of the daughter.

i don't understand what is with all of the youth these days it really breaks my heart that there are so many school shootings and must children these days really live in fear about going to school and trying to do better by educating themselves!? i'm only 22 but i never imagined something like that happening when i went to school-its so sad, i wish there was something this country could do, sigh..

There have been recent repots that another insane pupil is carrying a gun. This is after the colorado school seige and a headteacher was shot by one of his pupils a few days afterwards

i remember columbine being a tragedy but the media didnt give much coverage when a school in minnestota almost had the same # of casualties. Everyday its a new school and gunman. Now its an amish school in PA. Has there always been this many school shootings? or is this another instance of controlled media taking our eyes away from iran,north korea, and rumsfield? North korea whatever happened there?

When i was in highschool there was a shooting. nobody killed but it never was on cnn. Now anytime a kid has a gun at school they tell us about the lockdowns.

Okay, from Mike Wallace's 60 minutes, Woodward says Bush will never withdraw from Iraq even if Laura and Barney are the only supporters of the war.

Now, the president is so firm on his policy.

Is there any law in the U.S. constitution that when the president is going wrong way, the citizens or the congress vote to stop him?

In other words, can we or the congress persons vote to withdraw, despite the president's insistance?

Or the president has the supreme power over the policy and there isn't anything we can do until he completes his presidence?

What are the ways to get out of Iraq, while Bush is still on the chair?
