The world is full of evil... the solution lies in the transformation of the heart... not the banning if guns.

If you have the right heart... you won't want to use a weapon to murder people.

Every culture has its problems, and this is a problem with the USA. It is my opinion that there is something very wrong there, which is why it is such a phenomenon solely in the USA.

I concede that the UK had Dunblane, but as the only example of this. There are isolated incidents in Europe and the rest of the world, but it is the USA where this is happening which such frequency that it is actually common place.

As Bowling for Columbine pointed out, in Canada they have the same number of weapons per person, but Canada doesn't have this problem. It is a solely American problem.

America needs to collectively look inside itself and see why this is happening and what is making these people do these things, its not enough to say 'these people are nuts' when there are lunatics everywhere, and guns available everywhere. They need to see how and why people are being spat out of their system and resorting to this. They need to address the sub class of 'losers' in their culture who are the ones going out there and doing this, and if they don't it simply will not stop happening.

As long as there are idiots among us, idiotic activities are going to take place. Yes, this is deplorable; no, it shouldn't have happened; no, there probably was no way to prevent it -- and restricting access to firearms is NOT the answer, no matter what you may believe. As long as there are people living on this rock called Earth, they are going to do evil, despicable things to one another.
