I am building a house up in the mountains and would like to get that cedar sided look but don't want to spend the money. What are some good alternatives that don't require a lot of maintenance (besides T111)?

Maybe treasure under the floor boards? Maybe just crusty old socks the owners left.

There is a house down the street from me that I absolutely love and I want my house to be just like it. It has EVERYTHING that I want in a home. Do you think it would be disrespectful to go to the house and ask the owner questions about their home? I want to get the dimensions and all that stuff. I am really tempted but I don't want to them to think that I am crazy or staking their house out or something! What do you think?

All the sheets I buy are loose and bunch up and come off. Or they are just plain oversized. I just have a regular 12" deep queen mattress.

Why is it so diffucult to find sheets that fit correctly nowadays?
