Oh gad zooks...get a piece of paper & a cup you can see thru, plastic is good. Place the cup over the spider, & slide the paper in between the wall & cup, traping the spider insde.
Take the poor thing outside & let him catch bugs out there for you, if you don't appreciate his work inside!
Most flying bugs can be caught like this too. I have even ousted carpenter bees using this method.
It could be Boris the Spider! Don't kill him!!

I read somewhere that there are 75000 spiders for EVERY member of the population, so the way I see it they're not going to miss one, right? Get yourself a can of Raid (the fly spray), works every time.

The average house contains thousands of spiders that you never see. You've got two choices, stamp on it and put it in the waste bin or pick it up and put it outside.

I am not scarred of them but have been recently because lately every one who has gotten bitten by one has gone to the hospital. Get a fly swatter, yes a fly swatter it gives u enough distance away (arm's length) to kill it. Still can't get a spray for insects. Don't want to use that, try hair spray. I know u don't or may not want to mess up the environment. But promise to use this only in emergencies and it will be OK. Good luck.

If your like me - I cannot stand spiders! And I will ask anyone to help kill it before I will even think of touching it. BUT, if I was alone, I'd rather try to kill it than sit there thinking it's going to crawl on me!!! Take a wad of paper towels, so you won't feel it crunch - and either grab it with your hands, OR put a shoe on top and smush it quick!

run... I hate spiders i make my husband kill them. if you live alone go buy some bug spray so that you can spray it from a distance use a broom and dust pan to scoop it up once dead and flush it down the toliet, i usually double flush with a little paper to be sure it is gone.
