This question has gone four days without an answer. The fact of the matter is that there is new residential construction all over the greater Atlanta area. The area is huge. The problem is, what do you consider "affordable" and are you looking for a development that caters to "seniors"?

Best advice is to make good use of the services of a qualified and experienced real estate agent in the Atlanta area. I'm betting that you know someone in the area you now live in that makes their living in the real estate business. Ask them for a referral for an Atlanta real estate company. This is done all of the time since many real estate companies are networked nationwide. Keep in mind that the seller of the Atlanta property you plan to buy will be responsible for paying any real estate commissions.

Make your Atlanta connection now and have your Atlanta agent send you information regarding geographical areas you may be interested in as well as average home prices etc.. Start narrowing down your choices before you arrive in Atlanta to actually begin to look at property. A good real estate agent will ask you a lot of questions, and will show you prospective properties based on affordability, location, size, amenities, etc.. based on your criteria.

Good luck with your move.

Try East Cobb for those who desire the quality public tuition approach. The top tuition, Walton, is likely one of the quality public colleges within the complete country. Expect to pay round 400k+ for a apartment despite the fact that. The field could also be very very riskless.
