OK so I haven't slept because this cricket has been shrieking in my room. I can't find it. I think it might be in the baseboard heater because it is echoing all over. I sprayed Raid around the baseboard. I read that they feed off clothing - oh no!!! Is there any other advice/suggestions/tips on how to get rid of this bugger and prevent any others? How long do they live because I can't take another night - I'm such a wuss!!!!!!! Thanks!

Some time when I may only get a couple more days in the 80's or so. I am new to the Twin Cities this summer and want to be able to enjoy the fresh air from my window before it gets too cold to keep it open.

I have an old fashioned stove in my house and want to be as green as possible. I know that wood ash in moderation can be good for soil, but my other half thinks that you can only do this if you haven't used newspaper to light the fire (acids in the ink or something).
Can anyone shed any light on this, or on other things to avoid in a fire if you want to recycle the ash. What about coal ash?
Cheers

I have a Brother CS-6000 sewing machine. I have compared the narrow hem feet between the Brother brand and the Singer brand and they look exactly the same. I am wondering if one brand of attachment can be used on another brand of machine.

I asked about an electric cooling and heating blanket. Did you know there are some made that use water to transmit the cooling or heating. There is a pump to circulate the water from the cooling and heating devices? I haven't yet found a price, but I'm sure they would be expensive. They are used in the medical field for heat related maladys and for heating after hypothermia. Anybody know how to purchase one and the price?

I just bought a Glade Scented Oil Warmer. I love the scent, and I would keep the fragrance level on the strongest, number five, but I want it to last as long as possible. If I set the fragrance level on number one, will the fragrance last longer, or will it just collect inside the warmer?

A hobby of mine is looking at homes for others. So if you are looking to buy just give me the location (city, state), # of bedrooms and baths, and I'll find the house for you. E-mail me at tayrose93@yahoo.com for more information.

Damage is being caused to our property, but the tenant is unwell and we don't want to bother him. Surely the agent has some responsibility for the properties he manages.

It's mostly household items such as cookware, etc. that are a little too dinged up to give to Goodwill, but are still perfectly usable (I was still using them before I got new stuff for gifts.) I really hate to just throw stuff in a dumpster.

What is a natural way to repell caterpallars. They get in my place and die and if I dont see them they get squished and they stain. How do I keep them out of my place?

what architectural or design features are unique to your area? do you know why they exist? give your state or country, if you like!

my answer: here in coastal north carolina, no homes seem to have basements (it's obvious why) many have carports instead of garages (maybe because garages get too warm?) almost all homes i've been in have no shortage of ceiling fans. there are not many raised wooden decks, but quite a few attached concrete porches. maybe the wood doesn't hold up well in the humidity.

I've tried several plug-in kind air fresheners (common brands from supermarkets), but their smell is too overwhelming and not pleasant. I'd like my house have a hint of a very subtle, floral-like scent, well, maybe the kind they use in good department stores or so. What products and brands would you recommend?
