20 degrees right now. I have a ton of dried leaves in the garage. There is snow on the ground, about an inch. Would it be worth starting or should I just hold off till it warms up?

Due to recent ice storms, two of my 30 year old green ash trees have had several main branchs snapped off,1/2 to 3/4 of the way up the main tree trunk, just missing my roof. My husband wants to top them and I want to take them down, just to be on the save side Should I top these trees or cut them down?

They are indoor plants, so they don't really know what season it is. I have had 4 for 2 months and one for 3 weeks. They seem to love Miracle-Gro, but I've been told that "Miracle-Gro" is like "cocaine" and could "addict" my plants.

and my mom is terrified of it so she put it outside. their about the size as a grain of sand. i notice another plant had some to. it also had some white stuff in which i thought was cobwebs but i used a magnifying glass and saw that the "web" was moving as if it were breathing. it creeped me the hell out so i poured dish soap in the plant to kill whatever the hell it was. i think they were some kind of worms probably the larva form of those little bugs i saw. i feel itchy.....

I bought these lucky bamboo which are actually a Christmas present for a friend of mine.
However, under my care, one is completely yellow, one's turning yellow, and that only leaves one left that's still "alive and well" (though it seems it won't last long at this pace)

So does anyone have any suggestions on keeping it alive?
The lady that sold it to me just said that water is fine, and is that really the case? 'Cus my bamboos are dying! ToT

I have a Kubota utility tractor and was confused with something in the owner's manual. One section says that driving on asphalt (street) with 4WD engaged would damage it. But in another section it says 2WD would damage it. So which is correct?

I've contacted Kubota but no answer.......

I have had a plant pot with 3 types of cacti for about 2 years now and would really like to know what they are.

I have posted some pictures here: http://weblog.xanga.com/yahooanswerspicture/632107019/cacti.html

I would really like to know there botanical name but a common name would also be good.

One is tall and covered in long white (non sticky) hairs. Another is wide and has heaps of little 'bulb things' with 4 white spikes coming out like a star with several longer ones from the top of the plant. The 3rd is tall has 3 thin 'panels' arranged like a star for a steam and a large round red 'ball' with small spikes around the edge.
