What flowers bloom at night? Are they all warm weather blooms or do any bloom in the cold weather? Any tips or advice about creating a moonlight garden (which is a garden with flowers that only bloom at night) is appreciated.

I noticed John Deere at Walmart and other large box stores, just wandering if they are still the best in the business.

I have a small orchid plant an I left to go on my honeymoon and didn't get to water it for week. I returned home an the blossoms fell of but the roots are fat and green. As soon as I got home I watered it and gave it some additional sunlight.(not sure if that was bad or good) Ive never had an orchid before and I'm not much of a green thumb so I need some help here...

My grandfather has a huge garden with all sorts in his yard, grapes, citrus trees, figs etc however with his vege garden he is having trouble with whiteflies, he has tried to spray them out but they just keep coming back... anyone got any tips or suggestions? He would like to keep them away for good!

We know putting down something yellow attracts them and you can get them that way, but any other tips???

I was given an orange pigface about three or four months ago. It is in a pot and had three flowers on it.

Ever since I've had it, it hasn't flowered since.

It gets full sun.

What do I have to do to get a flower?

a friend had a rooster wander into her yard and stay for days. she started feeding him, and now he won't leave.
she likes him, but the cold and snow can't be good for him. she can't take him indoors and she's worried that he'll freeze outside. she doesn't think she can build a decent cage on short notice in this weather.

if you have raised chickens (the fewer the better), any advice you have would be helpful, until we can get him to an animal sanctuary. thank you!

I have a 55 Gal barrel with a removable top. I planed on building a stand so the barrel can rotate 360 deg. but that's as far as I know what to do. Could you guys suggest what if anything else I need to do using my yard clippings collected while mowing to make compost for the garden?

My Mother started mine with a cutting from hers almost 3 years ago and it has never bloomed. Her's is over 20 years old. Mine looks healthy but it just has never bloomed and I wondered if I was doing something wrong, I had it outside during the summer and I put in the bathroom when it started getting cold outside. Can anyone tell me why it hasn't bloomed?

Be sure to specify the month. I would imagine that, whatever plants you may be able to plant, they would all have to be in the soil before the first frost. Am I right?

Do drought or overly wet weather conditions in the spring & summer affect the strength of tree limbs in the next winter? Can tree limb breakage due to ice or wind be predicted somewhat by past season's weather?

This is the first year we are going to buy a balled, live Christmas tree to plant after Christmas. Any suggestions on how to keep it alive while indoors and planting in the middle of winter? Any do's and don't from someone with experience would be great!

Happy Holidays!
