yep get one off a tree before it opens, like in jan or feb, place it in a paper sack close the top put it some where that will saty warm, then wait, some day you will hear poping , in the sack, the cone will dry out and start to open, you will have seeds, then plant 2 or 3 seeds in a pot, & wait for them to pop up, trans plant them in april, or may [after the last frost, ]

Hello,
Yes, the seeds are in the pine cone. Collect them when the cones start to open up. Just turn the cones upside down and the seeds will fall out when they are ready. Pick beautiful trees for beautiful results. The seeds will grow fast, just like a plant.

Just collect cones and shake out seeds, get freshly harvested cones from lower branches or ones that just dropped. If you can shake out they are mature. Just put in a tray or peat pot and cover with clear wrap and keep seed moist, place in sunny window or safe sunny place outside. Good luck!

great answers but I suggest in january looking around some big trees for a sapling or little bigger to dig up. They're easy to find and easy to transplant
