This sounds like a plantar's wart to me, too. You can use commercial wart remover like these:

Or if you want, you can try the duct tape cure which sounds infinitely more fun:

They make a corn remover, it is like a band-aid with medication in the center to "kill" the corn. I would do one corn at a time, place the bandaid over the corn, making sure that the other skin is not in the "kill" area, because the medicine is strong and will kill off the surrounding skin. I only had to use it once and the corn was gone by the end of five days, and have never come back. Give it a try.

I am no doctor, but corns aren't usually on the bottom of feet. They are usually on a toe or bone that gets a lot of friction. Could it be a plantar wart? They, too, are hard and tender. I have had them in the past. Doctors can remove them, but I just used a commercial wart remover. Took a while, but lots cheapere.

The current opinion is against corn plasters. Its use can cause other problems. Consult a physician.
