Cosmos and coreopsis will probably be the two that will grow too tall for your space. Both usually grow as tall as 4'. They can be cut back, removing the terminal bud will cause auxilliary buds to grow, producing a more compact, bushy plant.

Cosmos seeds are roughly 1/4" long and lance shaped. Coreopsis are round. Many wildflower mixes include several round seed types. The best way to identify seeds is to collect them yourself when the plant goes to seed.

I think it would be **very** time consuming to separate out the seeds, even if you can find the pictures to tell the difference.

In my experience, different growing conditions affect how tall plants will get, and they don't always reach the height listed on the seed package.

I would plant the seeds anyway. If the plants do get too tall, just snip them back. By cutting back the growing tips, they probably won't get much of a chance to flower which means they won't be self-seeding for next year's crop. So you can take advantage of "natural selection - with a helping hand."

Good luck with your wildflowers.

to separate seeds is very very dificlt as e very small and a lot of seeds look the same.
Either plant them all and weed out what gets too tall or you don't like the look of or get seeds for only those plants you want
