I know this will probably seem like a silly question but can anybody tell me what lever action lopers are? Are they anything like secateurs? Thanks

Its like a pruner, but much bigger and much stronger. I have one by Fiskars, it cost about $30. You can cut branches up to about 2 1/2 inches thick. Comes in very handy.

Here is an example of one:

I use loppers often and find that an anvil type works best . the lever action is supposed to increase cutting strength but it doesn't seem to cut as well. A sharp blade is the key.
