I have a young lavendar bush in a pot but do not want it to grow out of control .. I would also like to use the cuttings as a air freshner in my home.. What is the best way to go about this , it is mid summer here now and the bush is growing well with buds just about to flower. Any pruning tips and tips regarding using/making the lavendar as a air freshner would be much appreciated.

I recently found a money tree plant that had been thrown out, it still seems to be healthy and I have re-potted it but it's previous owner chopped a lot of the branches off, there is still quite a lot of new growth on it. Please can anyone advise me as to the best way to care for it? Despite having branches cut off, will it re-grow? Will it survive? I know nothing about these plants, I took it in as I thought it was a shame that it was thrown out. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks, from Molly

I saw a groundskeeper at the Golf Course who had spray can (looks like a paint spray can) and he was using it to cover up the brown spots in the grass. He said it was made especially for lawns. It wasn't paint. Does anyone know what it is and where I can buy some?

My front lawn is probably 80 - 90% weeds. I have a few patches of fescue and crabgrass. My plans are to wait untill end of summer /fall (Sept.-Oct.) aerorate, weed n feed, and spread seed. Am I headed in the right direction or am I clueless? I reside in middle Tennessee.

I have two big planters in front of my home which had plants in it that died. The owner didn't keep the water on while the house was up for sale. The planters already have a watering system in place. I was told that all I would need to do is remove the dirt from the planters, put in soil, and then plant my annuals. Is this correct? Do I have to remove ALL of the dirt or can I do the bottom half dirt, the top half soil? Also, since I live in the desert I think annuals would be easiest and once the annuals die, do I need to remove the soil they were in or just the dead plant and put in a new one?

We live near Phoenix Arizona and usually our lawn looks beautiful but this year my husband accidently put a grass killing fertilizer down and though we have re-seeded and re-fertilized with regular fertilizer... what little grass was there is dying and the yard looks yellow and there are bare spots. What can we do? It's been 4 months since he put the grass killing fertilizer down. Whats worse is we are trying to sell our house right now and the yard looks horrible.
