Good way to blow your face up. Hope those eyebrows grow back in.
But, they are probably just the cicadas they've been talking about, and they are earsplitting and messy, but they will all be gone in a week or two and we won't see them again for 17 years.

Get a hand held sprayer and some malathion at the store. It comes in quart bottles of concentrate. Mix as directed and spray the area with grasshoppers; they will die. Malathion works as a gas and disapates within 12 hours. It is safe for you, family and pets to walk on the next day. Do not use indoors!

OK we can kill these, but what about their buddies that come in after them? Grasshoppers are migratory, they move from field to field. Are you going to burn up yourself and the yard all for these migratory insects? Get some turkeys, geese, chickens, something that will eat the darn things.

you're gross. why would you want to kill grasshoppers?
