I have California Poppy seeds and Morning Glory seeds that I want to plant. I live in Florida and the weather right now is cold then hot then cold again. When is the best time to plant the seeds? Also, what preparation do I do for the seeds? Soak first? Newbie planter here. Thanks in advance.

why or why not?

This stuff is expensive!!

I have a 36,000 square foot lawn and have to buy three bags I think at $40 each for the Scotts brand but there are cheaper brands for $28 dollars each , but I am afraid to use them?
What has been your experience? What brands do you recommend of the cheaper brands?

I have these horrific bushes all over our backyard. I'm not sure what they are (I'd love to know) - they are thorny, turn orangish-red in the fall, and have yellow root systems that look like they belong to a 7000 year old tree. I started digging some of them out last fall, when the soil was moist, and couldn't believe how extensive some of the root systems are. Anyway, I have a large cluster of them that I have to remove in the spring, and my plan as of now was just to cut back the branches and dig out the roots as best I can. I would love any suggestions on how to make this easier, or how to better ensure they won't grow back. I'm hesitant about using poisons b/c I am clearing the spot for a swingset and my toddler will be playing back there quite a bit. I'm sure at some point in his life he's going to decide he simply must know what dirt tastes like. I'd love any information on what these bushes are, and how to best get rid of them. I live in southwestern Connecticut. Thanks!

We purchased our home last fall and didn't pay much attention to the yard. Now that spring has triggered growth we have discovered that the previous owners planted garlic throughout the lawn and flower beds. Why would someone do this?

Need general information about tree removal from private land.
Are there any good resources or books to review and get a better understanding of how to proceed.

Also, if someone cut my trees without my permission. What can I do?

berrry vines. They are VERY stickery and impossible to pull out of the ground. I want to kill them off-I've been told they harbor snakes- and I can't plant or weed for the vines. What and when should I use to kill them off?

My neighbour & I have lived amicably since our houses were built 11 years ago. Very recently, my neighbour pointed out that the builders had marked our front boundary incorrectly. It is marked by paving stone & grass. 11 years ago, along the corner of my front garden I build an expensive and now established plant arrangement which includes minature trees, shrubs, rockery & plants.
I have checked the deeds & she is correct. The paving stone, grass & rockery is just under a foot onto their property.
I am quite prepared for her to 'have her land' but it would cost me a great deal to move the arrangement, which I cannot afford.
Legally where do I stand?

I've got a garden approx 600m2 which is almost all grass, but is on a slope. I'm looking for a lawn mower to cut the grass but am not sure whether ride ons can work on a slope, or whether I'd be better with a petrol mower.
