YES! Our property is also sloped in areas. With our riding lawn mower, my husband has taught me to sit on the edge of the seat opposite direction of slope. Example, if you are leaning to the right, sit on the left side of seat and if leaning to the left, sit on right side of seat. Also do not just go over slope or you will, what they call scalp it, cutting the grass all the way down to the dirt,
which will cause the dirt to start washing away. Cut with the slope.

Yes, you can ride a riding mower on an incline or a slope. Some Mower manufacturers design their mowers to accept different slopes. In the U.S.A. the average slope a consumer model mower made by the basic Manufacturers is a 15 degree slope.
A 15 degree slope is a slope that rises 2 & 1/2 feet for every 10 feet. Almost all manufacturers recommend you mow up and down slopes and not across the slopes horizontally because of tip hazard and safety. What is also important to know, that most mower manufacturers also realize that push mowers can be just as dangerous as a riding mower if your lose footing or slip and fall while push mowing on a slope. You should always operate a push mower acroos the face of a slope and not up and down. I would recommend that you take safety into consideration and shop for your mower asking for specific specifacations on which ever lawn mower you intend to purchase.

It will depend on the angle of the slope!
Natural traction laws will always apply to allow, or disallow the mower to maintain control in any given situation; the same with the center of gravity (will it roll over).
However, I used to mow a very steep slope on a ride on that was so steep that it was impossible to mow uphill, or even across it. Fortunately, it did have a track on one side that allowed me to reach the top of the slope, and I would mow while I went downhill. You do need a flat area to stop at the bottom, and even then, you are to insure that it is not dangerously steep to cause loss of control as you come down.
Is it at all possible to mow 'across' the slope with the ride on as I intimated earlier?
You need to contrast this with the effort of mowing uphill with a hand mower system.
Your decision, but please apply common sense!

yes you can but the rule of thumb (for obvious reasons of safety ) you should mow up and down and not side to side --- this will obviously be determined by how steep your block is --- and after all it's not that big --- it's really what you would feel comfortable with --- but for mine up and down ; even though you have to to the side to allow for your blade cutter --- not so far to fall --- common sense and a bit of nouse . good luck
