I have an indoor palm tree that is just about touching the ceiling with a stem that is a good 6 feet. Can I cut the top off without killing the plant? It only has leaves at the top so I will be left with a stem in dirt wondering if it will form new leaves?

I live in the moderate Haight Ashbry in San Francisco, CA and would like to plant a few Night Jasmine (NOT Star Jasmine)...wondering what month is best.

Not using cuttings....transfering an actual root ball.

Thanks.

Burpees Big Boy was asked for last year. Thought I had enough, didn't. Good tomato but there are others. As a homeowner what kind would you buy for your garden area?

Would anyone want tropical drift wood? I have lots of lovely drift wood, literally hundreds of pieces about the size of a football or larger. Any ideas what to do with it?

I bought some jasmine vines to plant soon, but upon investigation, I found out that they are fatally poisonous to dogs (and other animals). I also bought a grape vine, and grapes are poisonous to dogs as well.

So I was wondering, what would be safe?

And what's the best way to have both a garden and a dog? She's mainly an indoor dog (a boxer/shepherd mix). I want to plant flowers and possibly fruits and veggies too.

Ideas? What kind of plants do you have around your dogs?

Is it normal to have a sudden change like this in an indoor orange tree? The room is usually at least 62 degrees, sunny and watered once a week. The fruit is ready but small. I live in Canada zone 5. I have other indoor trees that drop their leaves is this the same thing? I don't want this tree to die as it was expensive and iI really like it. Any info would be appreciated

I own a oleander tree that has started to turn brown due to the cold weather. I bought it nearby, but I'm not sure that it's zoned for this area. I'm not sure why they would sell it here if it isn't. Any advice on what to do about it turning brown, or is it doomed?

Thanks!

A few months ago I planted two watermelons in my garden from seedlings. One has barely grown at all, the other has gone absolutely berserk and is at least 2 metres long and has 5 or 6 different 'arms' on it. A few yellow flowers have appeared recently, but no actual fruit to speak of. When (if?) will it grow an actual watermelon? Thank you
