Would anyone want tropical drift wood? I have lots of lovely drift wood, literally hundreds of pieces about the size of a football or larger. Any ideas what to do with it?

Agree that eBay is probably the best outlet to sell individual pieces, but you could try local nursery/landscape outfits to see if you could wholesale it. Smaller pieces might have a market at a craft store where folks would go who are interesting in using driftwood in conjunction with things like dried floral arrangements or shell arrangements.

Value is hard to determine. For example, I did a landscape job for a client (he was NOT financially challenged) some twenty years ago and he paid a local nursery (Long Island, New York) $350 for a piece of driftwood that was about 5 feet high. When we asked why the price was so high, the owner of the business said that we could go pick it up for free up in Maine, where it came from.
The value was in having the right piece here when we wanted it.

Do as the other chappie suggested - look for driftwood on eBay and compare prices

Then take pictures of your interesting pieces. Box up one and take it to the Post office and find out how much it would cost to send it far away (but still within the country.) Then set a price - say a dollar or more, and put an auction up on eBay. If one sells, then others will too.

Or . Maybe a dollar is too low!!
