I have grown pineapples before in my backyard, (i live in asia) but they don't grow on trees.When i read that , i had to laugh. There is no tree. It grows very low, like water melons. It has a spiky leaves and it only grows on tropical countries.

I know that Dole ONLY grows theirs in Hawaii. They grow them more round to fit in their slicing/coring machines.
