Yew Trees, mysterious and majestically standing in churchyards for century's. They are also fantastic for wood turning since the wood is so hard even tho botanically, they are a soft wood.

Sycamore for the shape of the leaves.
Oak because they are really good to climb.
Willow because they just look beautiful and are usually near water, which I also love.
Cherry Trees for the blossom.
Oh...and silver birch for the sound they make when the wind goes through them.

Yes, the Scarlett maple trees. They give adequate shade in the summer and are pretty to look at in the fall.

My favorite tree is Persimmon. Every fall I make the trip to my favorite persimmon tree and pick up the ripe fruit. I then can take the pulp from the persimmon and make my favorite dessert. Persimmon Pudding! It must be Manna from Heaven! lol. :)
