I'm not sure what kind it is; it has short needles. The ornaments are dropping to the floor with a shower of needles landing on top of them; the tree skirt is completely covered! If I move it, I'm certain it will resemble Charlie Brown's Christmas tree. Anyone know of anything I can add to the water, or is it just too late? Branches are beginning to droop as of this morning, in spite of it having had a fresh cut just prior to putting it in the stand and being watered daily. Help!

I'm going to purchase a poinsettia plant (red, specifically) at a local florist as a hostess gift for a party tonight. Will it keep if I leave it in my car for 4-5 hours, or should I bring it inside my office?

Also, how long will a good poinsettia plant last?

We have a small house and lot - 1500 sq. ft. home on a quarter acre lot and since we both work and go to school full time and we travel a lot, we're interested in having a lawn service come and do VERY MINIMAL service to our lawn as often as it needs it. How much should I expect to pay just to keep the lawn mowed and edged? I have tried to get estimates, but I can't find a lawn service that will give estimates quickly and I need to know soon! I just want a ball park figure...am I looking at fifty dollars a month or two hundred dollars a month??

The word POTTING SHED: does it mean the same as SMALL GREENHOUSE? Or is it a shed for garden tools only? Or both? Dictionaries do not agree on the meaning and I really want to know it correctly. Thanks.

My husband bought me a little Erica Heather (Native to S. Africa). You can keep it in a pot indoors if the room temp is 40-80 degrees. The soil is to be kept moist but not soggy and you aren't supposed to let it dry out completely. It looks like it's sitting in a sandy soil, not potting material. The tops (the part that grows up past the blooms) started getting brownish looking and the whole thing became less perky. The blooms are still there, but I'm wondering if I should cut that top growth off- it's like the top of a stalk of corn. Some of the roots have come out the bottom of the pot, but the plant doesn't come near being too small for the pot. The tag also says to give it a light feeding of acid plant food in early spring if it looses color, or apply iron sulfate. Okay, what's an acid plant food, and it's not early spring, so should I even think about doing that? I don't want it to die, what can I do?

I planted an acorn in an indoor pot a couple of months ago and after a couple of weeks it began to grow, at first very raplidly. Now, though, it has wilted. I have tried over and under watering it, feeding it, covering it with a bag...all to no avail. I know nothing about plants (as you may have guessed), but guess its just the wrong time of year even though it is indoors and it is going to die? Any advice would be appreciated please.
