Bamboo will grow this way too. Really, about anything will grow this way. Ever heard of Hydro-ponics? It's growing things in water and adding the nutrients the plant needs to the water as well.

go to Gardenweb.com. Then go to the forum page and scroll down to ponds. They will help you find plants that will grow in water. There should be a section just on pond plants. Check it out..hope this helps..

Cactus love being in rocks. and any palms. for example sago palms love being close to the water, day lilies, oleander, and if the ground is usually very wet. I would plant a weeping willow tree. good luck
