I transplanted some trees a couple months ago. I have been deep watering them everyday for a month and a half and have know cut down to every other day. When I scrape the bark on the trunks there is green underneath but when I scrape the braches they are all brown underneath. The leaves are all brown and falling off. If I keep watering them will they come back in spring or should I dig then out and replace them?

Hi what can we do to deter deer from eating landscaped plants? My parents just moved into a brand new neighborhood - had the entire yard landscaped and now deer are eating everything to the ground. Oak Leaf hydrangea, hibisus, hosta, everything literally to the ground. This literally happened in a matter of weeks. We are sure it is deer b/c they have seen the shadows pass the bedroom window. They are eating plants right next to the house! Anyone have any ideas of how to deter this behavior? Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

It is being treated 5 times a year by lawn service, weed and feed, etc. Even my lawnmower bumps up and down as it runs over it. It looks ok but doesn't feel ok when you walk on it.

I happened to have grown some lillies on the side of my house. As these seem to not do well in the heat of a Texas summer, I thought of putting small lantanas between the lily clusters and trimming back the lillies to keep up the appearance of my yard. Any gardeners out there that could enlighten me about any possible problems??
