We have this 1985 creamish / yellowish foe marble (actually plastic) in both of our bathrooms. When looking through a home improvement magazine I saw an advertisement for refinishing countertops. I'd like the countertops to just be white. I'm fairly handy and I'm confident that if I knew how it were done I could do it myself, but I do not know how it is done. Does anyone know how to do this or a link that shows instructions (or at least what is involved)?

How do I keep little "roller fuzzies" off of my walls?
I am using a polyester roller sleeve and latex paint.
Do I need to "break in" in a new sleeve?
How many times can you rinse and re-use a roller sleeve?

I'm painting a set of table and chairs. They were previously painted green and I am painting black over the green. Do I need to use any kind of primer? Is it helpful to sand them first? Should I use some kind of top coat? Laquer? I've never really painted anything before, as you might have guessed.

basically i'm fitting a new toilet to an internal wall which is about 12ft from the external wall of the house. Is there a required angle to which the waste outlet from the toilet must be before it reaches the soil pipe to ensure when flushing all waste flows out of the house to the soil pipe.

I have a table made of wicker that previously had glass in it (it broke). So i was thinking of getting a sheet of plywood 33 * 33 inches, but i can't cut it and i hear its kind of expensive for my situation. BASICALLY, I need a flat surface 33*33 inches, free or dirt cheap. Any ideas?

I want to make a small deck to use beside my 52" above-ground seasonal pool, on the cheap. I just had the idea to stack free pallets, nail them together to the proper height, and put decking across the top of it (and add stairs). Any reason this won't work? Pallets are built to hold weight, aren't they? Any other great ideas to contribute?

I'm looking for something really cheap to add to sack-crete.

Just some color a bit darker & maybe warmer than concrete, to look good next to granite.

How much do the packaged concrete dyes cost? We would probably only use one bag of concrete. Is there anything I can add myself, like ashes?

This is for outdoors.

do you slide wet caulk in the cracks where drywall meets at the corners? I have caulked the corners of drywall and taped all the other seams with joint compound and the top seams just covered with crown molding. For me, it seems much easier to do. I hate taping corner seams. What do you think about this procedure? thanks for all your great responses..
