Can you replace laminate with a different color laminate, using the same counter/wood? I have off white laminate right now and I want to change it to black. Do I have to replace the whole countertops or can I peel off the existing one I have right now and replace it with black? Or can I put the black one right over it? Please help

I have 2 toilet on my upper level of my home and both
will run intermittantly. If i flush the toilets it runs a normal cycle
fills and shut off. Then they will start running for no apperant
reason. I replace both wax seals and bent the float, adjusted
the float level screw. Could this be a vent problem i.e. wind blowing
accross my vent creating a low pressure and sucking water from
my bowl??

I am looking to heat my home with a corn stove. Currently I use natural gas which is about $12.00 per unit (I can't remember the unit). I keep hearing about corn and it being more cost effective then natural gas.

How much does it cost per month in corn/electricity to run the stove? How warm will it be?

Any info would be appreciated! Thanks

I'm looking for a wood that won't sag over time or be extremely heavy. I was told to stay away from partical board (will sag) and plywood (way to heavy). I want to stain the wood, not paint it white or anything like that so I need a wood that looks nice also. I was told to use a solid hardwood but I can't seem to find 'sheets' of wood wide enough to build an entertainment system. Any info (along with websites that sell the stuff) would be appreciated.

Is it worth the trouble of taking it back and complaining? Has anyone any experiences of making a fuss when DIY products don't do what it says on the tin?
