It is really not necessary. It may reduce condensation inside the shed, but that won't hurt aluminum. It may be beneficial for what you store in the shed.

Most of these answers are correct, trickle vents will help but are not really the answer. My advice as a window fitter of many years is to sort out the humidity first then call a professional to fit the trickle vents, if your windows are of good quality they will almost certainly be reinforced making fitting the vents yourself very difficult. Another point a Fensa ticket is no guarantee of quality either in product or installer efficiency its basically a register for the industry, contact your local council they should be able to intervein with your contractor if they feel the work or products are unsatisfactory

I would defenitly help anything that was to be stored in the shed, especially if its stuff that you don't use very often.
