We have recently replaced our bathroom sinks. We were wondering what type of glue is best to connect the sink to the counter.

I would use Polyseamseal All Purpose caulk. Match the caulk color with the sink, not the countertop.

definite you may, although if that's going to be much less complicated and you gets a extra advantageous bring about case you're taking the sink out, tile then positioned the sink lower back. as that's obtainable you will get somewhat flexing interior the counter top so do no longer use elementary tile adhesive. Use a good high quality versatile tile adhesive or intense capability shape adhesive so the tiles do no longer pop off if the counter flexes slightly. go away the adhesive to set a minimum of 24 hours previously you place the sink lower back.

most (new)sinks come with a blu tack type sealer that you press onto the bench top, fit and clamp the sink, then run a knife around the sink and remove exess, if your useing a 2nd hand sink (why?), use linseed oil putty, roll into a 'snake' and apply as above, i would'nt use silicone as it gets everywher and doesent come off

You don't really need to glue them down, but you do want to get a good seal around the egde. You can use a silicon caulk for that.
