My mom bought couch covers and they are wrinkled, but she already put them on the couch. Is there any way she can iron them without taking them off?

Two rooms in my house keeps getting stains that look like they might be caused by the insulation in the attic above. It looks like a blackish shadow and it only appears in the spaces between the beams. It is difficult to cover with a fresh coat of paint, it eventually shows through. I don't know what causes this to try to prevent it from happening.

My bathroom is in the center of our 20's-built railroad-style flat so it is very dark and small. I really want to try to add lightness & calm to this bathroom. Also, we RENT so we can't do anything too crazy. Probably just some paint & accessories. Thoughts and Ideas very welcome!

I am considering replacing my aluminum single frame windows with double pane energy efficient windows.
One of the manufacturers I have contacted says "I don't put Argon gas between the panes because the gas will leak out in a year or two". How important is Argon or another inert gas between the panes a far as energy efficiency is concerned? Also, some installers take out the entire existing aluminum frame while others insist to remove the entire frame is not a good idea and they leave the frame and install the new windows over the existing frame. Which installation method is recommended?

I'm painting our new home today and have to buy the paint. I'm not sure what a reasonable cost for a high quality paint is per gallon. We're on a budget but want good coverage so we only have to do one coat. What is the best brand and best store to buy from without spending a lot of money?

in the master bath. It has horrible faux black marble peel and stick that is terribly done. I want to lay ceramic over it. I have peeled up tiles before, and it is a J-O-B! Can I lay plywood or backerboard over these tiles and go about my business? Or is there really no shortcuts? Any advice would be helpful!

They take old rough lumber and put this stuff called Bee's wax ( not sure I am spelling it right ) on it and some how, heat it up with a torch and paint it and it looks real primitve. Now I am not sure if they are painting first but it is smooth when it is finished, you can you tell me how it works?

Mainly my used dishwasher but also for future reference a frig, micowave and oven. I would like to donate them but the salvation army won't take the dishwasher and I'm not sure who else to ask. I also don't want to pay a junk collector to pick it up.

Say something like one story, four bedroom, two or three bath, not too too huge just nice size. Just a little estimate on what you think.
