You can...if the laminate has been cleaned with TSP and lightly sanded. The best solution, however, is to takeup the old counter top. But if that isn't feasible...just make sure that the laminate is CLEAN and roughed up.

No. You need to either cover the laminate with plywood or better yet get it up. The ceramic won't stick properly to the laminate - and if it does it can cause it to seperate.

Yes, as long as the laminate is in decent shape. Just lightly sand it and apply the mastique....

not good idea at all. what we do is demo laminate and lay new granite counter tops
