Tile is natural stone...mainly bone with caramel accents. Tile is octagon shaped 6" with caramel accents. I have dark oak window trim and molding. My vanity is quarter sawn oak stained
provincial (orange tone). I've narrowed my choices to Ivory, White, and Terra. Grout color desert bloom closely matches the tile, but, would leave me with no dimension. Please Help!! I have to decide this afternoon. I have large bathrooms so the grout color will make a difference. My vanity top is Indian Summer

I want to re-carpet my living room and hallway. It is about 355 square feet or 40 yards. (it has a ton of wierd off space which took a LONG time to measure)

I would rather not do it myself, as I have never done carpetting before.

I am not looking for anything incredibly fancy.

As usual for my questions, I am in Overland Park KS. (if that changes anything...)

Thanks!

We just discovered an oak floor under the subfloor in our kitchen. Unfortunately, 2 of the boards are warped. The remaining floor is slightly damaged but fixable. I really want to save the floor. Short of going to a salvage yard and hoping to find similar boards does anyone know of any secrets. Most say it can't be done but i have seen 2 methods on line. Have you tried any? 1) drill holes; wet board; then screw board down and fill holes (I don't think this would allow for the natural expansion/contraction) 2) remove boards; wet and place heavy object or vice straight and allow to dry in sun. I would greatly appreciate any advice, especially if you have been successful! Thank you! Christian

I am finishing my basement. I am tiling the whole floor and figure I could do it in half the time if I could do the whole area open. Then I would like to put up the walls, but is there any way to do it without cracking all the tiles, thanks.

I recently moved into a rent house and would like some ideas about decorating. Of course I can't paint or do anything permanent to the house, but I really want to make it feel comfortable and like home. Any personal ideas you have or websites would be great.

We recently saw some abandoned broken venitian blinds...i was convinced that the only good place for them was the skip....my partner thriftily felt they should be useful for something....what imaginative and wonderful thing might they be reused for....they won't work as blinds...even my partner will admit that!
