hmmm depends on whether girl or boy, i do like duck egg blue for a girl, maybe a cool orange/yellow for a boy.
Just asked my son what colour he would have his room if he was a few years younger and he said lots of bright colours.

I chose neutral colour for the walls (a warm cream) and then accessorised the room. I think that as children grow up their tastes change and its much more fun to buy them cute rugs, pictures, curtains etc that can change and grow with them.
I have a little girl and her room is currently accessorised with pink gingham checks and "cup cake" accessories (bean bags, toy bags etc) from Wigwam Kids. We also try and buy unusual pictures and limited edition prints whenever we're out and about to decorate the walls. Babies also get given a lot of stuff when they're christened, so it's been nice to have a neutral theme where we can display everything without it not "fitting" or clashing.

Pink, white, blue, plus touches of sea-green, yellow. Gold and red ribbons and some shining silver strands. Try to create a sort of "natural rainbow effect" by blending the colors into each other, harmoniously.

I would say that a nice pale green or yellow is always good in a childs room. The green/yellow are fine for both boys & girls.

u can use combination of many light colours and few dark colours like the pattern of the rainbow cause it not only makes the room beautiful but it also makes the child involved in differentiating those things and its quite good also.

White, which I know is not a colour that most people would choose. However, I think it's best as it is a neutral colour. Children should not be exposed to pink just because they are girls or blue because they are boys.
