I want to re-carpet my living room and hallway. It is about 355 square feet or 40 yards. (it has a ton of wierd off space which took a LONG time to measure)

I would rather not do it myself, as I have never done carpetting before.

I am not looking for anything incredibly fancy.

As usual for my questions, I am in Overland Park KS. (if that changes anything...)

Thanks!

Why don't you begin by visiting local carpet shops and shop around for something you like. You probably won't get too much for less than $15.00 SY. This includes padding.

Depends on the quality of carpet you buy.

Take the price per yard and multiply by how many sq yards you'll need to buy. Then add about $3 or so/yard for install. Don't forget the pad and then add taxes.

Go to a carpet store and get a quote.
