I have just moved into a rather old house and after the first time I steam cleaned the carpets, and boy did they need it, the horrible smell of dog pee filled my whole house. The more I steam clean, the worse it gets. I've tried chemicals, deodorizer, carpet fresh, ect...and it just gets worse and worse. At this point I can hardly sleep, I've lost my taste for food, and I am constantly burning incense. Anybody have a solution besides tearing up the carpets? The landlord says that is not an option. Help please.

I've tried spray and wash, bleach for colours and pink stuff (the organic pink goo). Nothing is working! Does anyone have a solution?

I don't want to use poisons because we have a baby, dog, and cats. I'm so tired of the ants. I wipe them up but they always come back. They go after everything and they get into the animals food bowls. Sometimes they even come after me because of how messy breastmilk can be. I hate them and I want them gone. Any suggstions? Please.

I have a white New Era Hat that got dirty after its first day. My biggest concern is the hat shrinking, I already tried hand washing it with little success. Is it something that I could take to the cleaners, or do they not do things like that? I would rather just wash it at home...any tips?

Our water is so hard and that stuff that builds up around the faucets, white, gritty stuff is in the toilets too. It's just coating the insides. I've let Lime-away sit for 30 minutes+ and it doesn't touch it. Any suggestions???

I come from a family where my father taught me not only how to cut the grass, but how to clean aswell. I learned on my own how to cook. Now I prepare a hot dinner for my wife if I get home before she does. So ladies does your man do this for you or is it something you wish he would do? Do you feel that you would open up more if you did not have to do everything around the house sometimes?

The stains look like bleach splattered on to the fabric, but we don't use bleach. The first time my husband washed my bolero, it was fine -- no stains. Then when he washed it again, some strange light stain appeared on it. This also happens to our towels and we can't understand why. He already puts the detergent in the washer before the clothes so that the detergent doesn't land directly on the clothes. Help!

Does the dirt come away with the steam? or rise to the top so you can wipe it off? or does it disovle? does it just force the dirt deeper into the sofa/carpet where it rots and smells but can't be seen?
I'm thinking of buying one, but this question has been bugging me for days?
Hope someone technical can help, please try to limit the silly answers!
