PUREX is a great laundry detergent and is recommended with the Good HouseKeeping Seal & the Queen of clean. I have read many consumer reports on laundry detergent as well as other soaps. They all clean. Yes some *might* work better on certain stains but ALL of them will clean. WHY pay triple the price when Purex works!

Also my family has skin sensitivities and we do not have any problems using Purex! I also use 20 Mule Team Borax and Zout. I recommend them to anyone who asks!

Absolutely Tide. Purex is so watered down and doesn't even smell nice, in my opinion, and Tide cleans much better.
I use All or Gain. though. They're less expensive as Tide and work just as well.

Funny that you ask tjis question.. I prefer TIDE and love the smell that lingers from it on my clothes, but if I am out of detergent and hapen to be betwen payday's and low on cash, I will buy Purex..it is almost the same, cleans just as wel..but smells a bit different...
they are the only 2 detergents I will use..
Purex is the better bargain, same cleaning, about 4 to 6 dollars cheaper per bottle....

Tide is strong, but am sensitive so certain garments I wear need to be washed in Purex.

I think Tide for serious stains but for lightly soiled clothing Purex is cheaper.

Tide (although it is WAY more expensive than Purex - at least in my part of the world --South Texas...)

I've used both. Tide is definitely better for getting your clothes clean.
