We currently have two aging flowering crabs in the front yard that we plan to replace this spring. We are trying to decide whether it would be better to put in slower-growing shade trees or faster-growing ornamental trees. As we will be retiring within the next 18 months or so and selling the house, my question is which type of tree would be more appealing to prospective buyers. The only other trees on the property are an evergreen tree and a Bradford pear tree, both in the back yard.

HH120-120090C It is off a Bolens lawn tractor. I need to know why it won't spark. Is it the Stator, Rectifier, Regulator, or the Solid State Coil? The magnets seem to be fine and the gap between coil and flywheel pins is set at .025. No spark!

Drywallers came in early before I got the floors covered and made a mess of my slab. Now I'm ready to lay ceramic and laminate floors but need to get all that mud up. Any Suggestions besides manually scraping it?

My mother in law has a concrete home and is looking for a air washer that she could use to clean up the air inside the house. She is not really wanting a purifier but a system that could wash the dust out of the air. Would a humidifier work for that purpose?

Our gas wall heater (hunter) died on us. And we need a new gas furnace pronto, since its winter and all.
Since we had a wall heater to begin with, we would upgrade to a full furnace, since we are planning a addition to our house in the near future.
Our house now is about 950 sq ft, and with addition would be about 1300 sq ft. We also need ducts running to all the rooms installed since we do not have them now.
How much would a mid grade furnace come to? And approx labor exp.
And would it be a lot more to get a heat/cool system?

Also not that it makes that much difference but we are in Canada.

Okay, cuz I'm a girl, and I like to take bubble baths,so I has been bothering me, how whenever i turn on the water, it takes a second to heat up, [normal] but then when the hot water comes, I close the drain, and the tub starts filling. So how come with all that hot water, the cold water stays at the back of the tub? Because I like to sit back, and it will all be cold.... So I am just wondering, how come cold water and hot water don't mix well in a tub?

Hi - I have a set of two rocker switches installed on either side of my walk through closet. They alternately turn on/off the overhead lights. A couple of days ago, one of the switches took an extra push to turn all the way off. Today, neither of the switches will turn on the lights in the closet. Yes, all the light bulbs are fresh. Is there an easy way to troubleshoot the switches without calling an electrician? Thanks for your thoughts.
