I live in a relatively new home, many people in this new neighbourhood are having trouble growing shrubs in their backyard. We live in Manitoba Canada and I guess when they built the house much of the clay was pushed all over the yard so there may not be a lot of top soil there. Anyways the point is my lilacs are continually dying year after year and this process has been going on for 5 years. The Lilacs closer to the home have a better survival rate but I don't know what I can do to help these plants grow. Should I dig deep down around the Lilacs to put top soil down again? Or are there other solutions? Any help would be appreciated as so far nothing or no one seems to have been able to solve the problem.

I had to have the master bathroom wall paper taken down because it was damaged or peeling in most places. We tried steaming and wallpaper stripper but still ended up with some peeled areas of drywall and some blistering. Maybe the previous owners did NOT Prime the drywall and directly glued on the wall paper.
There are a lot of blisters on all walls and this is a master bathroom! Is the only way to cut out the bubbles and sand everything down then use a sealer? what are my options? I want to paint it afterwards.

My propane company called today and said that I had to pay over a hundred dollars in "inactivity fees". I haven't needed propane in almost 2 years, and now they're saying since I use their tank I have to pay them for inactivity. I asked them if this is a rental fee, and they said no - it's an "inactivity fee". Huh? Can anyone tell me if this is regular practice?

A coworker gave me a basket with some small potted plants. One of them is an ivy plant and I noticed it had several leaves covered in was appeared to be very fine spiderwebs. On closer examination, I saw that there were dozens of tiny white bugs moving along the 'webs'. What are these? They're about the size of a pen point, so I'm not able to see much detail.

Does anyone have a link/website that shows which size/color wire nut to use for connecting different guage size wires?

What should I be looking out for when screwing on the nut to the wires. Is there anything that I will notice when I have found the correct size?

Is the color of the nut standard from one manufacture to another?

thanks

Renters who did not pay their rent abandoned the place to their own fleas and cockroaches. In cleaning the house, I discovered they'd coated the entire floor and drain of the stall shower with concrete, and stuck a screw driver upright into the drain. Obviously it was done some time ago, not because they were mad at me or even believed I'd evict them. What's the purpose of this?

How do you clean it? Anyone use Hoover Floor Mate, Bissell Flip It, or Lysol Steam Cleaning Mop? It seems there's got to be an easier way than sweeping and mopping but I don't want to waste my money on something that doesn't work and just ends up taking up space.
