I mean immaculate. Shiny. So clean it would look like I had daily maid service. I have a huge house but can't really afford extra help at this time.

I'm not going to say this will keep your place absolutely immaculate. But if you put things away when you're done using them, and take care of various clean-ups when they need to be done instead of letting them build up, it will seem that the house is largely taking care of itself.

For larger chores, you might want to have specific days or times to take care of them. For instance, on Monday you dust, Tuesday you vacuum and mop your hard floors, and so on.

You say you have a large place. So you might even want to close off the rooms you aren't using, except to maybe go in to dust once in a while.

I love the swifters -- wet mop, dry mop and dusters. I can fly thru my house and get all surfaces. I also keep a sponge, soft scrub and paper towel under all sinks so clean up is easy.

i have tried this and it works real well....to get started throw at least 20 things away...count as you throw!..do it without stopping...do it each day soon the clutter is gone...refigerator is cleaned out.real fast....after the first few days you will see a big difference...i now have myself down to throwing 5 things away a day that i dont need...and my house is starting to look wonderful...im in same boat...big home...lots of stuff...cant afford to hire anyone.....seems kinda silly but believe me it really does work....im talking throwing clothes, pillows, food, newspapers , magazines...and more! things i thought i couldnt live without....i dont even miss them and my house is clean...
