Was just wondering. The smell of tea throughout the home would be soothing as well as help me sleep, but I don't know if this is possible.

I would think that the tea itself wouldn't hurt anything in the humidification process, because a humidifier is basically a form of a still and the "steam" coming out of it is water with the tea essence. But, tea is extremely fine particulate matter suspended in water. So, as the tea is distilled, the distillate (what's left) will become very concentrated. This is sure to cause staining of the reservoir. But, it might also cause a scale buildup that could eventually be problematic.
