Home Depot has limited varieties and an Internet search doesn't help either. Just type in "bricks" to see what I mean.

I have a peach tree in my front lawn. There is no room to work anything into the soil as it is surrounded by grass. How can I fertilize it with organic fertilizers without destroying or burning the lawn? What kind of fertilizers should I use?

I have not moved in a studio which I was able to get through a realtor. Is it appropriate to ask 1) if they can put screen on the windows and 2) blinds also on the same windows.

I hope this is not to stupid a question. I just don't have any idea on renting. Thanks in advance anyways.

Please help - I am in need of opinions and/or suggestions. I have an older chain link fence that I should do something with. It's solid enough, but it's got an old peeling paint job (that doesn't even match anything else) and no shortage of rust. It's about 70' long and runs along my driveway between it and the neighbor's house - a standard 2" mesh and 5' tall. My budget is minimal, but I'm willing to put in some time and energy. I should also mention that I'm not a big fan of chain link to begin with. Also, I strongly desire to increase the privacy in the back yard (more to avoid looking at the results of an absentee landlord than privacy for myself). Finally, the other two sides of the back have a treated wood panel fence. I figure that I have two options aside from doing nothing or simply removing it.

1. paint it and add privacy slats

2. replace it with something similar to the dog ear cedar already back there

The pricing that I've done so far indicates little difference

I currently live in Michigan. Unlike the other folks of this state, I was lucky to find a decent job out of college here. I live in Lansing. I am looking for homes in Dimondale, Eaton Rapids, Grand Ledge, Mulliken, Delta Township and Mulliken, if you feel like searching on my behalf.

Now, the meat of my question.
Other than the SEV value being roughly 2x the price of the house, what are some other basic things that I should watch out for?
What price should i expect per/sq ft?
What is the difference between SEV, Assessed value, and taxable value, and which serves what purpose?
What is an estimated TCV?
What types of heating/cooling systems are the most expensive?
What heating/cooling systems are considered a "selling point"?
What determines square footage?
How much (average)is the price of a typical roof for a 1000 sft house?
What can I expect to pay to recarpet/re-drywall?
How much of paint/drywall/carpet/roof can i deduct from the cost of house upon offering?

I want to cut patterns out of reflective safety tape tape that I can put on my motorcycle. The utility knife just does'nt cut it. You get jaged lines and the tape moves around when you are cutting close to the edges. A low powered laser would be perfect because the issue is I need the tape to cut like butter...no resistance so I can maintain my lines while cutting.

I need a better technique or a better tool or both. Please help, I've been looking all over the web and making phone calls, but no luck. Thanks.

Ok, so I need to run electricity into a spare room in my house... I checked my breaker box, I have two empty 15amp breakers... If i go out, buy 12g electrical wiring, turn the power off. Hook the positive wire to the breaker, the neg to the breaker box with the larger white cord going to it. And the ground to the green screws. Then run the electric through the support beams in the basement to my spare room. Then when it reaches the room can i hook those wires straight up to an electrical outlet i had installed but didnt hook electric up to?
By doing this is the electric hooked up right? or am i missing a step?

any advice would help... I'd rather do this myself, but do it right, and not die.... I will be checking the wires with a voltage meter to make sure everything is off...

Ok, now this beats all. There are butterfly bushes where I work. A small group of people renting from us complained that the bushes were attracting butterflies (duh!) and that the butterflies were pooping on their cars and they wanted the bushes removed. Does anyone out there know anything about butterflies and if they poop enough to notice? This is so ridiculous that it's comical! I say replace the bushes with mulberry trees!

why don't you produce in product-line? it's more convenience than 2-doors and I think it's popular than 2-doors.

And is it supposed to be runny like water? I let my tiles and grout dry for about 3 days and when I opened the bottle of grout sealer, I was shocked to see that it was very runny almost like water. Is it supposed to look like that? And how long does it need to dry between coats?

I have never lived in a home with a pool. We have two kids and my son is begging for a house with a pool. I want to because I think I would enjoy it as well, but I'm curious about wether or not we can maintain it without it taking over our lives. Any insight would be great.
