when should i plant the following vegetables in the missouri bootheel:
carrots
radishes
lettuce
onions
cabbage

onions you can put in in Fall and overwinter. Radishes mature in 60 days - you could try planting now for a small crop.

Lettuce - as soon as the ground can be worked in the spring.
Cabbage - ditto.
Onions - ditto...if you didn't plant them in fall.

Radishes and carrots - when the ground has warmed (May) - plant them together...the radishes you'll be pulling out about the time that the carrots are just starting to make a showing - so you get a "double crop" in the same space.

Early spring,or in august for a fall crop.These a cool weather plants and really don't do well in the heat of the summer.
