my mil has an above ground pool with that plastic/rubber type liner. this winter she let it get really dirty(i mean there's leaves all over, it and the alges pretty bad). my husband and i would like to be able to use it. yesturday we emptyed it out, and today i'm going to get all the debre out of the bottom. i was wondering what kind of cleaners can you use to get the sides clean? like algee removers? can you use household ones, like the kind for cleaning bathtubs and showers? or would that be bad for the lining?
thanks-Juli

When trying to prepare my suit for the day, sometimes the coat will get wrinkled being in the closet. Is there an easy and quick solution to get rid of them (ironing doesn't seem to help much)? Its also very expensive to take to the dry cleaners just because the coat has wrinkles.

I have aquired a lidless compost bin. it is about 1 meter high and wider at the bottom than the top. I'd like to grow potatoes for a late autumn crop. Someone said you can put some seed potatoes in the base and then add more compost as the leaves grow through and then add more seed potatoes in layers.

Would this work? and would it be a good way of maximising the space? I don't have enough garden to plant them in the usual way.

you sit next to it... [I'm frustrated because I can't explain it, but] it's a little part of the wall, or whatever, that's cut out, that you sit on to look out the window. You see 'em in movies somethimes, but I just don't know the name of it and I don't know how to explain it, either.

What should I consider? Gas or wood burning? Vented or ventless?

My house currently has no fireplace at all and is a 1967 ranch style.

I let my heather shrub dry out (still potted) and the pink flowers are completely dry and so are the leaves (needles). I scraped the bark at the base of the plant with my finger nail to see if there was any indication of life underneath but was mostly dry. The stem is still somewhat flexible. Does that mean the plant is still alive and can be revived? Any info would help. Thank you.

We bought a baby gate(Superyard) on craigslist and after setting it up inside we noticed some hornets or wasps coming out of it. I think they were nesting inside it. We put it out in the garage and havent seen anymore hornets come out but I read somewhere that they can 'hybernate'. I want to sell the gate but dont want to sell it if it has hornets still living in it. What is a way to make sure they are all dead without using any poisons (since the gate is used for kids)?

I live in a 1 bed flat in Balham South London and have a small galley kitchen. At the moment the kitchen is ok a little 80s. I was thinking of paying to have it done to look quite sleek and modern with new appliances. I'm not good at DIY so was going to have the whole lot done professionally.I've been quoted around £6K. What I don't want to find is I pay all that to have a kitchen and don't really make that much more when I come to sell the house.

Hi, I have a front porch that is always in the shade but protected from strong wind. It is easy to water but I need container plants. What I would like to do is arrange them so one group is blooming all year around. I live along the coast (Palos Verdes near Trump National in Southern California) Heat is not a problem and the air is moist nearly all year. Any of you expert gardners have some ideas?
