my husband flushed our water line and ever since our water has a strange odor to it. Can anyone help with this

Depends on what he flushed it with. I used to run bleach through my cold water lines once a year (PVC pipe and a well) to remove iron deposits. The lines have to be flushed very well after treating with any chemical.
