I've tried diomatacious earth and leaving pieces of raw potatoe around certain plants and pick up the pill bugs several times a day. But they and slugs n sails manage to chow down and destroy my plants during the night. I've tried wet news papers rolled up. I want them dead now no messing around. What can I put out to kill them. Oh, I used Seven dust already, but they crawl through that. I don't get it.

I was looking for a homemade remedy to keep the bad insects away from my vegetable plants. I noticed some aphids on my tomatoes, and the ladybugs can't seem to eat them fast enough.
I saw something on TV once made with hot peppers blended with other stuff, but I can't remember. I'd like to stay organic and food-safe without having to buy a pesticide (don't want to harm the ladybugs-just repel the "bad guys").

It's 8' x 13' x 6" deep, and I have heard from 3 different places 3 different quotes from 3 bags to 8 bags - that's a HUGE difference! :) SO I thought I'd ask the experts. If you know the Home Depot/Lowes large sand bag coverage, and can tell me how many of those bags I'd need, that would be great. Or if you can suggest a tonnage of the sand, that would be great also. They're sold in those bags at the stores, and in tons by the delivery sand companies.....so whichever you've got information wise, I'll pick from there! :)
Thanks so much!

I am putting up drywall and I really don't want to mud and sand. Can I put duck or masking tape over the cracks and screws and then apply paint primer over it all? I realize the tape will show under the paint but that is fine with me.

It is thin but it is really heavy. Would it stop sound bleeding through a door by simply sticking it all along the back side of the door?

I have a standard self-propelled mower with bag. Recently I've just been mowing with the "trap door" in the back shut and no bag.

Will this damage my lawn? Does it matter for this type of grass in particular?

I clean under mine monthly but I recently cleaned under a couple of relatives to help
them and couldn't believe what was under
them. It can so gross under them things do
people really realize how dirty it gets. I have
to help with the stove in a couple of days and I am getting afraid. Very afraid. lol

The part was the correct part from Craftsman. It just sputtered a few times as if it was going to start and then it died. When I checked the adapter, the key inside had broken off.

I have them indoors in a small pot. Just started a week ago, they sprouted but since then they look pretty weak. I watered them about 2-3 times last week. Is that enough, or do they require more.

I have some small climbing roses in front on my home that seem to be gather a white type of dust making them wilt. It doesnt seems to be affecting any hybrid teas located next to them. This rose is pink with many very small blooms, and my neighbor says it has been there for years and may be an heirloom rose not really sure. Anyone know what this may be?

I'm thinking about getting one. Are they worth it? The limited amount I've used one has not been too good but I didn't know what I was doing. Any suggestions for good brands. Don't want to spend more than about 100 dollars max. Thank you.

I have a large bay window where the main middle pane has become completely glazed over. The rest of the bay window (smaller side windows) are in perfect shape and I'd like to replace just the large middle pane. Is this possible or do I have to replace the entire bay window? Anyone have a link with some DIY info? Thanks!

Due to some very high winds yesterday (>50 mph) our young oak tree snapped off about 2 feet off the ground. It was about 10 feet tall before it snapped off. The trunk that is left looks healthy and is about 3 inches in diameter but all the branches were on the part that snapped off. Will this tree "come back" and keep growing? We like the location and hate to give up because it was a very nice tree and fairly expensive. Will it continue to grow and eventually leaf out again?
