Refrigerator was in the basement when I bought the house and appears it was there before the basement was finished. Now I can't get it up the stairs even with the doors off. Is there a way to "shrink" a refrigerator or a safe way to take it apart?

I've had no luck with drawing hummingbirds. I have feeders both in the front yard and back yard. I get plenty of birds to my regular feeder and to my finch feeder, but no luck with the hummingbirds. Any advice out there?

I have just started landscaping an area in front of my house and it needs to be leveled off. However, I'm not sure how to measure the amount of dirt that I will need. Everyone I ask either wants to know how many tons or how many cubic yards. How do I figure this out? The area is approx 6 feet in length by 4 feet wide and about 1 foot deep. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have gauges, vac pump and gas. Having vac'd unit down to remove moisture - how do I connect the gas bottle so as not to re-introduce air back into system? Do I turn the system onto cooling while filling to get pressure down?

this is for a weed plant. and can you grow in some mud or some soil that you got from you backyard but the soil is always moist and you put some holes at he bottom of the plant to be sure that enough oxygen and water was going through the whole plant. what type of stuff do i have to put in the soil to make it rich so the plant can grow faster and better .

We bought black furniture for our den and i was just going to paint the walls white (theyre very light pink) but after 2 coats its not covering. I was thinking of doing something a little darker to help cover up the pink. Nothing crazy though. So what other colors do you suggest?

I want to get one of those blue pools with the inflatable top ring, but i want the smaller one, approx. 30" tall and 10-12' across. By law, does this require a fence? I know alot of people have the larger pools without fences, but is it legal?

I live in Illinois, USA. We wait 9 months of the year. Suffer through months of windy, winter weather for 3 months of decent weather. Now, there is an invasion of cicadas. I feel like my summer has been hijacked. They are everywhere - crawling up trees, hanging on small branches, flying around me, rolling on the ground, making piles of carcasses in the grass...it is gross. I don't have to see the movie "Bug" because I have a good horror show in my neighborhood.

So when will these things die and not come back for another 17 years? Also, what damage are they doing besides prompting several news stories about people eating them? Thanks!

The plaster walls are from the early 20th century and in either the 70's or 80's, the previous owner attached either ceramic or plastic tiles to our bathroom walls. I'm sensing a complete gutting, but hate the idea of losing the lovely plaster.
