My wife just bought me a fantastic fountain for outside - it's concrete and in seven different sections - each section of course getting considerably lighter as it gets to the top.

Here's my delimia - we had to pick it up in the truck and I could load everything myself except the largest basin. The employees at the concrete place helped load that section. Now that I'm home, I have no way to get it off the ground!!!
My wife is small and my son is too small to do much good at this point. We just moved here so we have no friends, all my close neighbors are elderly women who live alone and the people at the concrete business wouldn't deliver.

Now I have a 200.00 fountain that I can't use because I can't get it set up (grrrrrr!)

Any suggestions on how one tiny man can lift this by himself - just about two feet off the ground?

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!

Our housemate has on two occasions accessed my partner's telecom account (first time it was the ISP account, the second time it was the telephone account). He has since disclosed our new address to 3rd parties and has told our landlord that we are moving out and given him our new address too (we have not yet given notice because we are not close to moving out). I am training to be a lawyer and am doing my own research on this but would appreciate any practical advice and would like to know if there is an English website that provides advice to people who live in shared houses (we live in England)

Who sells and what brand has the deepest above ground pool. What brands do you consider to be the best, or should I basically say, how do you like yours?

Is this their 'hardening off' time? How much more 'hardening off time' do they need once you get them home?I purchases 'Texas Betony' and kept it under grow lights inside because it was rainy and overcast for 2 weeks. I took it outside for three days partly sunny days, then planted it in partsun/partshade. Now its wilting little by little. Is it dying? Was it still too early? No more frost here in North Texas1

I have a white-westinghouse electric range. The control panel temperature light goes out when it reaches the correct temperature but the element continues to glow red hot. What is wrong? I am a DIYer and would love to fix this myself. Any hints or tips?

Our basement has a small kitchen (the water has been cut off because its only used for when guests visit), a 3/4 bath, 1 bedroom, the storage area with the water heater and such, and the rest is just a big room.

Where is is more likely we find roaches? (we get small ones, up to 1 inch, but TONS of them in the summer)

Is there an air condition unit that makes room ice cold without blowing hot air in the back or have to put in next to a window to let the hot air out? It's because I am renting a small 2 bedroom apartment without air condition and I'm afraid that landlord might say something if I have a hose or window air-condition unit sticking out of my window. Also it would be really convenient when I move.

I bought a 50+ year old house and have decided to replace the hardwood floors. The subfloors are really squeeky, the hardwoods are separating in places and there are large gouges in spots. I plan on tearing up the old floors and wonder what to do with the existing tongue-and-groove subfloors. Should i tear the subfloor up and replace it with new exterior-grade plywood screwed and glued with Liquid Nails for subflooring? Or should I just try screwing the tongue-and-groove subfloor down and install right over it? Any other suggestions?

So I'm going away on a trip, but I fear my roommates would go in my room. The last thing I want is to have other people going through my personal belongings. I'm thinking about changing the doorknob since it's pretty old, and a number of people could very well just have the key.

But is it easy to change a doorknob? So far it doesn't look that hard. Upon looking at it, it just has two screws on the back door and two more screws on the side. I've also seen the doorknobs in hardware stores that looks easy to install. Is that just about it? Or is there a bad side to it that I've yet to think of?
