I am replacing a shower head. Simple. Just unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. Except......the old one, which has been in place for 40+ years, won't budge. What can I do short of breaking the pipe?

I am trying to come up with a homemade idea that is real simple for a headboard. I don't want to have to use special tools or buy too much for this...maybe just something with foam and material. Would that work? Other ideas?

Not anymore need I ask..... I have yellow and deep crimson wallflowers in bloom in my garden as well as roses, sweet peas, clematis and a viburnum which has a masses of pink blooms.

Surely the wallflowers and vibernum should not be flowering until late spring. Why do you think my garden has suddenly burst into bloom at this time of year? I usually have roses and clematis until Christmas or beyond but not sweet peas etc.

Hi,

My water tank has a pump attached. With the pump switched off the pressure is awful - the water trickles out of the taps (hot and cold). (except kitchen cold water tap which i assume comes straight from the mains?). With the pump on everything is fine, except a couple of things which concern me:

1. the pump continually activates for about 10 seconds every few minutes - whether or not i'm using any water. Is this right?

2. i get loads of air locks. after having a shower the sink tap splutters for a while, and the toilet re-filling often makes horrible spluttering noises. Is this ok or should I do something about it?

3. Is it worth me turning off the pump when I go out/at night etc to save money and wear and tear? This comes back to point 1 - i'm not sure it should be activating so much... but is turning the pump on and off contributing to the air locks?

Any guidance would be much appreciated!

I have a problem with a teapot that wont pour right. When you tip it over to pour a dribble comes out, and then when you increase
the angle it trundles out under the lid all over the place there is a strong danger of tea falling on Nether regions causing much pain
on ones manhood. Do I cut notch in top of spout. I have another
teapot which does not cause this problem but it holds a gallon of tea and is enormous it is like handed down from the Army
Catering Corps totally impractical. I forgot to mention Teapot is
Steel. All suggestions would be Gratfully appreciated.

Hi Please give ur help!!! I have a huge mirror, like 8 ft. tall and 2 ft. wide, I LOVE IT!!! i have it in my room, and the only problem is, i got it at a yard sale and it was once a door, so now, the way i have it leaned up against the wall, u can see both sides of it, and the sides are so ugly, since it was a door, u can see the whole sides (both) are wood, but on one side, u can see the hinges "marks" where they once were, and on the other side, u can see where the door handle was, i thought of putting wall paper, but then i thought that would look tacky, so i thought of some kind of cloth or material, but i dont know how to get it to stay, without using nails, or staples, which would also look tacky................................ANY SUGGESTIONS??? thanks=)
