I have a two remotes, each with three buttons - one large rectangle and two small round. I seem to remember some doing some combination of holding buttons in conjunction with the main unit some time ago when replacing batteries, but cannot seem to replicate the magic! Thanks for any help!

I would like to separate two rooms with one being installed with tile.
Any tricks to fine cut the wood flooring in a straight line without hurting the wood subflooring.

I am going to plant two Weigela shrubs, and want to know if I need to fertelize after they are in the ground. I live in Massachusetts, and it is the first week of November. The temp will be in the 60's this week.I use plant fertilizer stakes in my house plants, and was wondering if they are recommended for shrubs as well.Any other suggestions on a succesful planting would be appreciated.I am adding cow manure to the soil mixture too.thanks for your help.

The house we've moved to has a white enamel kitchen sink. It's really dirty looking. I've tried soft scrub and the scrubbing bubbles stuff and it hasn't worked. We have really hard water here. Any ideas?

I have a valliant combi boiler, which seems to kick into action when i need hot water, but the heating isn't working at all. I have a switchmaster dial next to the boiler which allows me to specify when the heating should come on and go off but this seems to have no effect, even if I change the setting to constant. Any suggestions good people of the UK. I'm freezing my **** off :-( and I am worried in case it freezes and the pipes burst.

The radiators don't need bleeding and dont' heat up at all. Could this be an electrical problem rather than my boiler being knackered?

We have wild fresh peppermint growing in our yard. Someone suggested making tea. How do I do that? Also, how can you dry it out?

I just peeked into the air supply duct in the house that I'm renting. It looks disgusting. There is at least an inch thick of dust and then beyond the dust is fiberglass that is peeling off. I checked out the whole duct system and it is in bad shape. Winter hasn't begun, but when I start cranking the heat, I'm afraid that all that dust and fiberglass is going to end up in my family's lungs. Is my landlord obligated to correct this. I looked at local codes and it just says that the HVAC system must operate, which it does.
thanks

my well water smells and tastes really bad. Also, when I run water in the tub, it looks "dirty". Looking for best fix for this that's easy to maintain since I'm a widow and have to do all this myself. Thanks!
