I hate throwing things out.
If something brakes i'll have a go at fixing it + often succeed.
From dishwashers to mobile phones, socks to coats.
I have alot of things waiting to be fixed.I dont like waste+ tend to save junk which i think i could make use of(maybe 1day).
I realise this is a problem,as i am tripping over bags+boxes of stuff that needs sorting out.I have some things ready for charity+ recycling. But i'd be greatful for any advice.

Well, as of now... I have about 15 mouse traps, 10 glue traps, a good 30 cotton balls saturated with oil of peppermint and about 20 packs of poison scattered throughout every secluded corner and crevice of my house--yet, I still continuously find mouse droppings every morning when I wake up and not one trap has caught a mouse. I hear them moving at night, but evidently they are steering clear of the traps. They are getting to the poison, I believe, because their poop is a greenish/bluish color (same color of the poison). How long does it take for them to die? This is beyond frustrating, I feel like spring cleaning comes everyday around here as I am forced to clean up mouse poop from underneath my cabinets on a daily basis. I hate cats, but I'm really thinking I need one. ANY suggestions are appreciated. Also, I am not one that is worried about "killing mice in an inhumane way". I could care less. I want them dead.

Our builder finally poured our foundation yesterday. However, the temperature was about 40 degrees when it was poured and in the low 30s since then. In addition, it has been raining and snowing. There was a coat of ice on everything this morning. I stopped by today and the forms were already off of the foundation and the permeseal coating was already on. All within a 24 hour period. As far as I know, nothing was done to prepare the concrete for the cold weather.

Should we be concerned?...because I am. If so, what would you recommend we do?

Is there a secret to carving a pumpkin, without the awkwardness of moving the blade around in a forceful, bumpy motion....I'm afraid of cutting myself, yet I want to get a lot of detail in it. I've heard of blades for kids...but are those capable of anything very creative and not just triangle eyes and zigzag mouths?

I just a new recieved another glossy plant catalog. I turn to page eight and "wham!!"....

This Azalea promises 11 months (if potted and brought indoors) worth of blooms!

Is this new to me alone, or do others have experience with this "to good to be true" shrub.

I am drooling over "autumn mist" and "summer sangaria" together in one spot, and "autumn angel" in another border.

[As a side note, I think these catalogs are turning me into a plant pornographer... I have them strewn around my bed, and on occassion might slip on the glossy pages when I awaken at night in the need for a drink of water.]

Zone 7-9 (and to 6 if sheltered, which could mean ME if it is wisely placed, although I generally plan for zone 5).

Sounds good for an indoor/outdoor specimen.

Thoughts, comments, rude noises? All are welcome.

My son wants to redo his room and wants a border that looks like green dripping paint or green slime like in Nickelodeon. Anyone seen anything like this? I have been on the computer all evening without any luck.
Thanks for helping,
Gina

I bought it this past spring, it's about 3ft. tall and I put it in a larger container, it did well for some time but then its leaves towards the top started to dry up, crumble in my hand, and the whole top died, so I cut it down to the better growth, it grew some more and later did the same thing again, should it not be in a pot at all you think? Help! P.S. Now my Weeping-Willow is doing the same, it too is in a large pot but this tree is about 5ft. tall.

If the water looks good..... test good and it has been 5mts since we filled it. If I wait I will have to do it in the spring then it will be 11mts since a change. ( I live in a cold climate) I just don't want to waste water or add a bunch of water to a already really wet ground. (hot tub outside) So what do you think?

Hi, I'm hoping I could get some pointers on how to replace my main panel at home. I have a 100 amp breaker panel and want to bump it up to 200. I am very competent in the electrical field however, I have never done a panel change out. I do plan on getting permits and the electrical company to shut power, however I don't know what it physically consists of or what to look out for. Thanks for all your help!
